What is C-TPAT?

C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) is a voluntary U.S. Customs and Border Protection programme that strengthens the security of international supply chains. It sets Minimum Security Criteria covering physical, personnel, procedural and cargo security.

Compliance reassures U.S. importers that your facility and shipments are secure against tampering and smuggling. IQS supports exporters in implementing and auditing against C-TPAT criteria.

  • Cargo security — protect shipments from tampering and contraband.
  • Facility security — physical, personnel and procedural controls.
  • Buyer assurance — reassure U.S. importers of a secure supply chain.
