What is GRS?

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions.

GRS applies to products with at least 20% recycled material and tracks it through the supply chain. IQS supports organizations in achieving GRS certification and verified recycled-content claims.

  • Recycled content — verify recycled input and percentage.
  • Chain of custody — track material through the supply chain.
  • Responsible practices — social, environmental and chemical criteria.
